Jessica L. Jimenez
Jessica Jiménez is an experienced litigation attorney who joined N.W. Bernstein & Associates, LLC in May 2011.
Most recently Ms. Jiménez held a clerkship at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida with the Honorable Magistrate Judge Chris McAliley. Ms. Jiménez was responsible for conducting legal research and drafting substantive legal decisions. She was also responsible for preparing the Judge for hearings on motions and providing assistance during hearings.
Litigation Experience
As an associate at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, LLP in New York City, Ms. Jiménez handled an assortment of litigation matters including defense of Title VII discrimination claims, securities fraud, and claims for breach of contract. Her experience included all phases of discovery, preparation of pleadings and motion practice. Ms. Jiménez also conducted an internal investigation of a multi-million dollar corporation and assisted in interviewing senior management as well as presenting findings to its Board.
As a trial attorney for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Miami, Florida, Ms. Jiménez managed all aspects of litigation against employers for violation of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and EPA. Ms. Jiménez conducted and defended depositions, drafted and responded to discovery requests, and responded to discovery motions and motions for summary judgment.
